Special
Winning Attitude Team “SWAT”
Leadership
Development
One of life’s most valuable inheritances
is the gift of mentoring. At White Tiger Karate,
we believe that it is important for all people
to help those around them to gain new skills and
to use these skills to better our relationships
and community. Leadership is one of the many skills
we strive to cultivate in our program. As each
student grows in their martial arts abilities,
they are encouraged to help other students in
their training, typically during class time. For
those students who demonstrate a high level of
personal integrity, a strong commitment to their
own training, good character, and the desire to
teach others, we offer an opportunity to be a
part of SWAT, the SPECIAL WINNING ATTITUDE TEAM.
SWAT
members participate in special training sessions
where they learn how to effectively teach other’s,
practice routines used at demonstrations, and
learn advanced techniques. SWAT members volunteer
their time to help teach classes, thus giving
them application time for their newly acquired
teaching skills. As a SWAT member, each person
of the group is called to a higher level of integrity
as they are also role models for younger or less
experienced students.
