Leopard
Class:
This class is specifically designed for children
ages 4 to pre-k. We work with your child
on their listening skills, improving their confidence,
and developing their physical skills including
balance, flexibility, & control. We
stress safety first which makes for a fun learning
environment for all.
Dragon Class:
Students range from grades kindergarten to 2nd.
This class builds on the skills learned in the
Leopards class. We continue to improve on
the students listening skills, physical skills
which include balance, strength, flexibility,
& control. In addition, students are
introduced to “being a teacher” by
helping each other in class.
Tiger Class:
Students range from grades 3 to 5. In the tiger
class your child develops their self-confidence
while learning to respect their elders and peers.
The material covered incorporates improved range
of motion, balance, physical endurance, physical
strength, group cohesiveness, independent study,
strength in mind, & self-defense.
Teen/Adult
Class:
Students range from grades 6 to adult. In this
class, we focus on flexibility, range of motion,
muscle strength, and endurance to improve individual
overall well-being. Each student is encouraged
to improve on his or her own health.
Sparring Class:
Sparring is a very important aspect of any serious
Martial Arts training regimen. Students wear
protective gear which enables them to work with
other students without the fear of injury.
Students use moves they have learned in karate
classes and are taught additional sparring techniques.
This class builds self-confidence in many areas.
It prepares them for tournament competition, allows
them to take a hit without getting hurt, and allows
the student to actively use what they have learned
in self-defense within a safe environment.
Adult
Kickboxing:
Kick-boxing classes combine kick-boxing and karate
skills with aerobic exercise to provide a unique
combination of flexibility, strength, endurance,
and cardio-vascular exercise with the added benefit
of self-defense skills. This non-contact workout
combines the kicks of martial arts with the punches
of boxing. The benefits of kickboxing include
improved confidence, self-esteem, self-control,
a positive mental attitude, endurance, toning,
muscle building, and weight management. In addition,
it reduces stress levels.
Women
Only Class:
This class allows women a space to train in the
martial arts without their male counterparts.
Women range in age from 15 and up. In this class,
we focus on flexibility, range of motion, muscle
strength, and endurance to improve individual
overall well-being. Each student is encouraged
to improve on her own health. There is an added
emphasis on women's personal protection skills.
Private
Lessons:
Private lessons can be scheduled for extra help,
in preparing for a test, or just for more one-on-one
time to work on techniques. Please talk
with Sensei for availability.
Adult Aikido:
The Japanese martial art of Aikido is a comprehensive system of throwing, joint-locking, striking and pinning techniques, coupled with training in traditional Japanese weapons such as the sword, staff and knife.
Grappling:
What do you do when the fight hits the ground? Take this class and find out. This is NOT MMA this is real life self defense skills taught in a safe environment. You must already be a student of WTK to take this class.
Boot Camp/Conditioning/Fitness:
These classes build lean muscle mass through calisthenics, weight-bearing & plyometric exercises and by burning fat through aerobic exercise. We can accommodate the beginner to the elite athlete and is a great way to cross train.
